Mississippi Master Mason of the Year – 2000
Brother Miles was, and is, a well respected Master Mason throughout the entire State of Mississippi. Well known for being a true Brother and a well versed ritualist. Stories are still told about the long car rides and the lessons that took place as a part of the ride.
He led our lodge in distinction in three separate years, 1966, 1980 & 1981. He organized the Longstreet Lodge Masonic Burial Service Team, which has performed many funerals around the State.

Terry Lewis, PM
District Deputy Grand Lecturer, 14th District
In 2017, then the current Worshipful Master of Longstreet Lodge No. 268, Terry Lewis was appointed as District Deputy Grand Lecturer (DDGL) for the 14th Masonic District of Mississippi.
In only a few short years Brother Lewis has made considerable effort to learn all of the work in the Blue Lodge, as well as in the Scottish Rite. He travels to other lodges extensively and is well respected all throughout the area as a determined and faithful Master Mason.
We at Longstreet are honored not only to call him our Past Master, but also our DDGL.

WM and MM of the Year
In 2017 Longstreet Lodge was honored to walk away from the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi with both the 2016 Worshipful Master of the Year award, awarded to Jared Stanley, PM, and the 2016 Master Mason of the Year award, awarded to Terry Lewis, PM.
Most Worshipful Edward Rhodes went out of his way to explain his process in selecting honorees for these awards, noting that he specifically had all references to their lodge and their name redacted before he viewed them, so he could make a selection strictly on their merits.
Jared Stanley, PM
Grand Librarian, The Grand Lodge of Mississippi
In 2019, Jared was appointed by Most Worshipful Jason Jefcoat to serve as Grand Librarian for the Grand Lodge of Mississippi, a position the GM coins as “Unpaid Assistant to the Grand Secretary”. Jared also serves as the Chairman of the Internet Committee for the Grand Lodge and previously served as its Webmaster.
